Would you like to travel in Spain or Latin America and get paid at the same time?

Teaching English in Spain or Latin America is one of the most rewarding and life changing experiences you will ever have.
What courses do you offer and which one do I need to do?
The Spanish Cat offers a number of unique courses for those wishing to become English language teachers in another country, or even here in Australia.
The type of course that is best suited to you will depend greatly on which country you would like to go to, and what type of job you would like to get when you are there.
Some countries and schools don't require formal qualifications, and others do.
Schools for example in most of central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia don't usually require a formal qualification, and for people wishing to go to those countries our short TESOL Preparation Program (TPP for short) will probably be enough.
Schools in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela and Brazil often do require a more formal qualification, and for people wishing to go to those countries our Cert. IV in TESOL is probably the best option for you.
Schools here in Australia definitely require the Cert. IV in TESOL as a minimum qualification, as do schools in many parts of the rest of the world (for example in Asia or in Europe).
However, this is only a rough guide, and it will depend on what type of school you want to work in and how much you want to earn.
TESOL preparation program
This course is primarily designed for those wishing only to travel overseas and teach English in the countries listed above that do not require a formal qualification.
It is also an excellent taster for those thinking of doing the Cert. IV but who are not yet ready to invest the time or the money required.
The best thing is, if you like it and want to continue on to do the Cert. IV, you will get credit for all the work you've already done!
This is unique in Australia, as most short courses that are offered by other schools will not offer credit for a fully government accredited course like the Cert. IV.
Cert. IV in TESOL
This course, the Certificate IV in TESOL (Course Code: 30537QLD Teaching English to speakers of other Languages), is run by us in partnership with LTI (RTO provider number 30173), and gives students an internationally recognized qualification.
This qualification is not only valid around the world but is also the standard qualification required right here in Australia for those wishing to become ESL teachers.
What happens when I finish the course?

For those students who complete this course, we will give you access to a host of information about job opportunities overseas, especially in Latin America and Spain.
We will also provide you with information about the country you wish to travel to, such as visa requirements, accommodation options and other essential information.
There are literally thousands of available jobs teaching English overseas, so anyone who completes one of our courses and wants to will have no trouble finding a placement somewhere.
Here's a comment from one of our recent TESOL students:
"I found the TESOL course to be a great compliment to my Spanish learning and overall language development and now really feel equipped to go overseas and teach! The instructor really brought the course to life and I looked forward to each months session"- Alexander Schmidt.
Please use the TESOL menu above to find out more about each course type and dates.
