Do you take enough risks?

Are you the type of person who goes out and takes risks in life, or are you the type of person who sits at home and complains that nothing good ever happens to them?

Now, taking risks isn’t for everyone. It is, to state the obvious, risky!

Some people just aren’t cut out for the stress and anxiety that any type of risk taking naturally entails.

You could lose everything. You could regret it forever. You could be ashamed. You could go broke. You could die!

The number of reasons not to take risks can often outnumber those reasons TO take risks… And we are creatures designed to keep ourselves safe – taking a risk sometimes means going against our better instincts.

HOWEVER – there seems to be some kind of universal metaphysical law that only those willing to take risks will actually end up achieving what they want…

When you take a risk, it’s as if the universe conspires to help you to get what you want…

Not always. Sometimes things just plain go wrong. And that’s fine too. You live, you learn, and you move on… You’re smarter about it next time. But don’t let that stop you from taking risks….

Because if you do, and things work out for you, you’re going to a bigger, better, more complete version of yourself! You’ll be happier, probably healthier, and much more confident about going on to take the next risk in life!

What I always try to remind myself whenever I’m faced with the need to take a risk is: What Have I Got to Lose??

I’m going to be dead soon anyway, so might as well live life to the fullest now, right? It’s not like I’m going to be any deader… I might be dead sooner, but in the grand scheme of things would that really matter anyway?

And let’s be honest – we live in a first world country. What’s the worst that can happen to us? We end up in a one bedroom apartment in a reasonably nice suburb doing a job we don’t love but don’t really hate?? Our security blanket here is pretty damn good!

So – What Are You Waiting For??

If you’ve been dreaming of travelling or living in Latin America or Spain then NOW IS THE TIME!!!

And before you go – don’t forget to learn Spanish! Taking risks is one thing, but not being able to ask where the bathroom is when you’ve got the runs in a foreign country is something entirely diffferent!!
